FAQs
Work from the heaviest thing you post, not the average. The M2 reads up to 2kg, the M5 up to 5kg and the M10 up to 10kg. The M5 suits most online sellers, because clothing, books and multi item orders pass 2kg sooner than people expect.
The scale shows an overload indication rather than a weight, so you cannot use it for that parcel. If cartons over 5kg are normal for you, buy the M10.
It powers the scale from the computer and lets it work with mailing and shipping software on a PC or Mac, so the weight can go into the postage calculation rather than being typed in by hand.
DYMO does not publish a trade approval for its postal scales. Use the M5 to work out your own postage and freight brackets. Selling goods by weight in Australia requires a trade approved instrument.
Yes. It also runs on three AAA batteries, which are not supplied, so it works as a standalone bench scale.
It zeroes the display with an empty satchel, carton or tray already on the platform, so the weight you read afterwards is only the contents.
