Which DYMO LabelWriter Printer Should You Buy

Every LabelWriter on this page is a desktop direct thermal printer. It heats the image straight into the label stock, so there is no ink, no toner and no ribbon to replace, and the only running cost is the roll. Start with the widest label you will ever need to print. If you are sending parcels on a courier consignment, that is the 5XL and its 104mm maximum, and nothing else in the range will feed that roll. If you are printing addresses, file spines, shelf labels, name badges and barcodes, the 550 range covers everything up to 62mm and costs less to buy. Then volume: a desk that prints a few dozen labels a day is fine on the 550, a mailroom or packing bench that prints all morning wants the Turbo, and if more than one person needs the printer the Turbo or 5XL on the network saves walking a laptop across the room. Every model runs on the free DYMO Connect for Desktop software.
