FAQs
Work from the heaviest thing you post, not the average. The M2 reads up to 2kg, the M5 up to 5kg and the M10 up to 10kg. A bench that occasionally sends a 7kg carton needs the M10 even if most days are satchels.
The scale shows an overload indication instead of a weight. There is no larger DYMO postal scale, so consignments over 10kg need a platform or floor scale.
It powers the scale from the computer and lets it work with mailing and shipping software on a PC or Mac, so the weight feeds the postage calculation rather than being typed in by hand.
DYMO does not publish a trade approval for its postal scales. Use the M10 to work out your own postage and freight brackets. Selling goods by weight in Australia requires a trade approved instrument.
Yes. It also runs on three AAA batteries, which are not supplied, so it works as a standalone bench scale.
The functions are the same, including tare, hold, auto shut off and USB. The M10 doubles the capacity to 10kg and is finished in silver rather than black.
