Four print lines, barcodes and a USB link, on D1 tape up to 19mm wide.

The DYMO LabelManager 420P, part number S0915500, is the working end of the handheld range. It prints up to four lines on a single label, which the rest of the LabelManager machines cannot do, and it shows all four on a large backlit graphical display so you can read it in a dim comms room or plant space. Tape is DYMO D1 in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 19mm, so 19mm is the maximum. Line count follows the width: one line on 6mm, two on 9mm, three on 12mm and four on 19mm.

It prints six barcode types, EAN 8, EAN 13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39 and Code 128, on 19mm tape. A USB cable connects it to a PC or Mac for design work in DYMO software on Windows 8.1 and later or macOS 10.13 and later, and it runs off a rechargeable lithium ion battery with the charging adaptor supplied. Choose from 7 font sizes, 8 font styles and 10 text effects, and print up to 10 copies in a run.

Take the 420P over the 360D if you need more than two lines, barcodes or a computer link at the same 19mm width. Step up to the Executive 640CB only if you need 24mm tape or Bluetooth printing from a phone. As with every LabelManager, D1 is the only tape that fits: LetraTag tape and Rhino industrial cartridges will not load. DYMO D1 tape only, in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm or 19mm widths. LetraTag tape does not fit a LabelManager, and Rhino industrial cartridges do not fit either. Check the cassette says D1.
19mm, the same as the 360D. Only the Executive 640CB in this range goes wider, to 24mm.

Yes. It prints EAN 8, EAN 13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39 and Code 128. Barcodes print on 19mm tape only, because narrower tape does not leave enough height to scan reliably.
