DYMO D1 Durable Tape for Harder Working Labels

Durable D1 is the industrial strength version of the D1 cassette, made for labels that are not going to sit quietly on a filing cabinet. It fits the same LabelManager machines as standard D1, so nothing changes about the printer, only the label stock: the tape is tougher and the adhesive far more aggressive, so it grips plastic, metal, powder coat and timber, including surfaces that are slightly textured or curved, and it is rated from minus 40C to 80C. On this store the durable line is held as one product with the colour picked as an option, rather than a separate listing for each one. It is genuine DYMO.

  • 1978364, black on white - the default, readable on shelving, bins, tools and cabling
  • 1978365, white on black - reverse print that shows up on dark or grubby equipment
  • 1978367, black on orange - high visibility, the usual pick for hazard wording
  • 1978366, white on red - stop, danger and do not use notices
  • All 12mm wide, one listing, four colours - choose the colour on the product page

Choose durable over standard when the label is heading somewhere cold, damp, oily, sunlit or knocked about, such as a workshop, cool room, warehouse, plant room, school sports shed or outdoor store. Standard D1 is enough for offices, classrooms, folders and shelf edges, and it comes in far more widths and colours. Pick the colour by how much attention the label needs rather than by taste, since orange and red already carry meaning on a worksite. It drops straight into a LabelManager 160P, 210D, 280P, 360D or 420P and the 640CB; DYMO lists it as unsupported in the older 500TS and Wireless PnP, so check your model if you run one of those. It will not fit a LetraTag or a RHINO tool.

Trades, manufacturers, warehouses, schools and facilities teams across Australia keep a durable cassette in the drawer beside their everyday ones, and DymoOnline has stocked nothing but genuine DYMO since 2009. Compare the D1 standard range for general work and the bulk 45013 bundle if one colour does most of the labelling, see LabelManager label makers for the machines these fit, and asset tagging if the label is going on equipment for the long haul.
