The DYMO LabelManager 210D Plus, part number 2175085, sits a step above the handheld 160P. It is built to live on a desk rather than in a drawer: a wider body, a full computer style QWERTY keyboard and a large display that shows your text and formatting as you type. There are 6 font sizes and 7 text styles, it prints up to two lines on a label, and you can enter up to 99 characters at a time.
The practical upgrade over the 160P is memory. The 210D Plus stores the text of up to nine frequently used labels and prints up to 10 copies of a label in one go, so a repeat job like naming a shelf run or a set of folders is one recall and one print rather than retyping. It takes DYMO D1 tape only, in 6mm, 9mm and 12mm, so 12mm is the widest label it prints. LetraTag tape does not fit a LabelManager, and neither do Rhino industrial cartridges. Power is 6 AA alkaline batteries or the optional 9V adaptor, and neither is supplied.
Choose the 210D Plus for a fixed labelling station where the same labels come up again and again. If you need to carry it, the 280P is the rechargeable handheld at a similar price, and if you need wider tape the 360D and 420P go to 19mm while the Executive 640CB goes to 24mm.
