Cable & Wire IDSelf-laminating vinyl answers the problem with cable labels that get read and handled for years. Each label has two parts, a white printed area at one end and a clear over-laminate flap at the other. You wrap the label around the cable and fold the clear flap over the text, so the print ends up sealed under film rather than exposed to hands, dust and solvent. Fit is the thing to check first, and the list is short: at 24mm this genuine RHINO cartridge fits the RHINO 6000 and 6000+ only. It does not fit the 4200 or 5200, which stop at 19mm, and it does not fit any LabelManager or LetraTag.
Choose self-laminating when the label goes onto cable or wire and will be touched, re-read or exposed to dirt over a long service life: patch leads pulled in and out of a rack, loom tails, test leads, anything coiled, dragged or rubbed against a tray edge. If the cable has not been terminated yet, heat shrink is the more permanent answer because it cannot be lifted off at all. If the label belongs on a flat panel rather than on the cable itself, permanent polyester holds better and gives you more colour choices. If you run a 4200 or 5200 and want the protection, the honest answer is that you need the 6000+ for this cartridge.
Data cablers, electricians, switchboard builders and audio visual installers across Australia keep one cartridge in the case for the labels that matter most, and DymoOnline has stocked nothing but genuine DYMO since 2009. It loads into the same RHINO industrial label makers as flexible nylon tape and heat shrink tube, so there is no machine change when you swap to it mid job, and cable and wire ID compares the three.
