Entry level Rhino industrial label maker with a QWERTY keyboard for cable, panel and breaker work.

The DYMO Rhino 4200, part number 2175088, is a handheld industrial labelling tool built for electricians, data installers, panel builders and maintenance teams. A computer style QWERTY keyboard and a large backlit display make text entry quick and readable in a dark switchroom. Hot keys size, space and format the label for you, covering wire and cable wraps, cable flags, fixed length labels, general labels, breaker labels and Code 39 and Code 128 barcodes. More than 150 electrical, pro AV, security and facilities symbols and terms are built in, and the Favourites and Custom keys recall the settings you use most.

The 4200 prints Rhino industrial cartridges from 6mm to 19mm wide in vinyl, flexible nylon, permanent polyester and heat shrink tube. It does not take D1 tape and it does not take LetraTag tape, so a LabelManager or LetraTag cartridge will not fit the bay. Self laminating cartridges are 24mm and suit the Rhino 6000 instead. There is no PC connection on this model, so labels are typed on the tool itself.

It is supplied as the bare tool with one industrial vinyl starter cartridge, a user guide and a quick reference guide. There is no hard case, no battery pack and no adaptor in the box, and the six AA cells are not included, so add the 7.2V lithium ion pack or the 9V mains adaptor from DYMO accessories if you want cordless or bench power. Stock up on Rhino vinyl tape, flexible nylon tape and heat shrink tube, or compare the whole range in Rhino industrial label makers.

FAQs

No. It takes Rhino industrial cartridges only. D1 tape is for LabelManager machines and LetraTag tape is for LetraTag machines, and neither will fit the Rhino cartridge bay.
Rhino vinyl, flexible nylon, permanent polyester and heat shrink tube, in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 19mm widths. It does not take the 24mm self laminating cartridge, which suits the Rhino 6000.
No. The 4200 is a standalone tool and labels are typed on the keyboard. If you need to design labels on a PC and send them to the tool, the Rhino 6000 is the model with USB connectivity.
The bare tool, one industrial vinyl starter cartridge, a user guide and a quick reference guide. There is no hard case, no rechargeable battery and no mains adaptor, and the six AA cells are not supplied.
Six AA batteries, or the optional 7.2V rechargeable lithium ion pack, part 1759398, also sold as 0895840. The optional 9V mains adaptor, part 4290758, lets you run it on the bench.
Yes. It prints Rhino heat shrink tube cartridges up to 19mm, so cable ends can be marked permanently and then shrunk down with a heat gun.
