DYMO 99017 LabelWriter Suspension File Labels are genuine direct thermal paper labels measuring 12 x 50mm, supplied as one roll of 220. The same label is sold under the alternate part number S0722460 in Australia and Europe. There is no ink, toner or ribbon involved: a LabelWriter prints by heat straight onto the label stock, so the roll is the only consumable you ever buy.

These fit the roll-fed LabelWriter range, including the LabelWriter 550, 550 Turbo, 450, 450 Turbo, 450 Twin Turbo, 450 Duo, the 400 and 330 series, 320, 310, SE450 and Wireless, as well as the wide-format 4XL and 5XL. If you run a LabelWriter 550, 550 Turbo or 5XL, all three read the roll with Automatic Label Recognition and will only accept authentic DYMO labels. The narrow face is cut to sit inside the clear plastic tab of a standard suspension file, so it also suits any slim edge that a wider label would overhang.

A printed tab reads far better than handwriting at arm's length, and one roll of 220 covers a large drawer system with spares for new files. For binder spines you want the 59 x 190mm 99019 lever arch label instead, since the 99017 is far too narrow for that job.
